Food Finders Backpack Program

First Baptist Church is pleased to provide storage and distribution space for the Monticello Food Finders Backpack program, which is sponsored by several churches and community organizations.

This program exists to provide weekend food for elementary students who receive free breakfast and lunch at school and who have been identified by staff and school administrators for additional assistance.  Students at each of the four elementary schools in the Twin Lakes School Corporation are served.

• Volunteer.  Contact local program coordinator Patty Godlove at (765) 543-9188 to see how you can help.
• Give.  A gift of $180 provides food for one child for each weekend of the school year – that’s only $5 a week.  To give any amount, send a check to:

Food Finders is a nationwide food bank that provides food for food pantries and other local organizations.  The backpack program in Monticello is one of 22 sites being served in nine counties through the Food Finders location in Lafayette, Indiana.
