Worship 

We gather each Sunday morning at 9:30 to celebrate the good news of what God has done for the world through Jesus.  We sing, pray, listen to God’s Word, and offer ourselves, as well as our financial gifts, to God’s work in the world.  On the first Sunday of each month, we share the Lord’s Supper.

Sunday School 

If you want to learn more about the scriptures and grow in relationship to God and others, wecan find a place for you in Sunday School at First Baptist.  The BASICS adult class meets before worship at 8:00 a.m.; classes for other ages, including children and adults, meet following worship at 10:45. 

Wednesday Bible Study

The Bible is a community book, and we get more meaning from it when we study it together.  Join us on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. as we explore how God’s Word speaks to our life together.  Bible study meets year round, with a few exceptions for holidays and special events.  For instance, during Lent, the church hosts a meal on Wednesday evenings as part of special gatherings for that season of preparation before Easter.

Youth Ministry

Our youth group meets on Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. during the school year.  Instead of meeting at church, we gather at someone’s home for food, discussion, and games.  All students in grades 6-12 are welcome!  Special activities throughout the year include a winter ski retreat, summer camp, and other local outings.

Saturday Morning Men’s Bible Study

Enjoy a peer-led discussion of the Bible with men from the church on Saturday mornings at 8:00 in the church fellowship hall.

American Baptist Women

ABW meets at the church on the second Tuesday of each month at 1:00 p.m.  The program includes a devotion and information about mission work going on in the United States or abroad.  On the third Tuesday of each month, this group facilitates a bingo game at a local nursing home in the afternoon.  Throughout the year, they collect money and supplies for American Baptist mission work around the globe.  All women are welcome to participate.
